Movie Mondays #7 Summertime (1955)

What better way to start off the summer with a movie titled "Summertime" right? I thought it would be perfect to get a nice refreshing start into summer with this wonderful classic movie. "Summertime" (1955) is a classic romantic movie centering around Jane Hudson (Katharine Hepburn) who is a lonely American women from Akron, Ohio who spends her dream vacation in Venice, Italy & finds love with a man named Renato de Rossi (Rossano Brazi). This is my first time watching a movie with the classic star Katharine Hepburn & she is a wonderful actress.

Throughout the movie, the scenery of Venice, Italy is so amazing, it makes you feel like you are there.

Funny how in this picture she remind me of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany's, don't you think?

This scene is the firework scene, so I'm pretty sure that is why the building is lit like that from the shadow of the firework. So beautiful!!!

I recommend this because it is a wonderful & entertaining movie to watch!

This is a gorgeous movie. The performances are all wonderful but the film belongs to Hepburn. She performs in one of her most heart felt performances. Showing us what this woman feels as she watches alone and unable to really connect with others. Loved, Signora Fiorini clothes in this movie.

I'll keep this movie in mind! The one oldie movie I've seen that I loved (I haven't seen that many) is "The ghost and Mrs Muir". I adore that movie.
By the way, thanks for the italian lessons. I stumbled over them the other day.
I was wondering, do you speak Greek?

Maybe I could help out a bit with that. I'm no great teacher, mind you, but maybe I could help you learn some basic things in Greek. If you have time that is.
Also, what is the online school you use? i mean, the site's url.
